We all have those moments when water just won't hit the spot. I love water. I drink it non-stop, all day long, but sometimes my taste buds are looking for a little action. For times like these, I keep a pitcher of homemade iced tea in the refrigerator. It's super simple to make and is done in less than 20 minutes.
Here's how it's done:
- Bring 5-6 cups of water in a small pot to a boil, then turn off heat and remove pot.
- Steep 6-8 bags of a tea, (or a variety of teas!), of your choice for 5-10 minutes.
- Fill a pitcher 1/3-1/2 way full of ice - depending on how much you want to water down the tea.
- Remove tea bags and pour tea over ice into pitcher.
As far as flavors of tea, that's kind of up to you! What flavors do you enjoy and find most refreshing? I'm all about mixing them up! A go to lately has been Raspberry and Orange. I also love blackberry, blueberry and green tea. Get as creative as you want!
